On Tuesday May 30th STPD Officers handled 29 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft-S Keesey St

At 0930 hours an Officer responded to a residence on S Keesey St for the report of a theft of lawn ornaments.  The victim advised that sometime overnight someone had taken $1500 worth of ornaments from her yard.

Criminal mischief-Sigafoose and Jackson Chiropractic

At 1013 hours an Officer responded to the business for the report of criminal mischief.  The caller advised that sometime overnight a large amount of green paint was dumped inside and around the mailbox.

Trespassing-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1056 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of trespassing.  An employee advised that a male who was banned from the store due to his involvement in a prior retail theft was now in the store again shopping.  The male was cited for trespassing and released.

Theft-Pleasant Acres Home, 118 Pleasant Acres Rd

At 1529 hours an Officer responded to the Pleasant Acres Home for the report of a theft of cash.  A resident advised that within the past few days someone had taken $20 from her room.

Identity theft/Access device fraud-Best Buy, 2865 Concord Rd

At 1630 hours an Officer received information about an identity theft and access device fraud that occurred in April of this year.  The victim reported that an unknown person opened a Best Buy credit card using her information and made several unauthorized purchases.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1702 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for two females in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the females had taken a total of $197 worth of merchandise without paying.  The females were released with charges to be filed.
