On Wednesday May 31st STPD Officers handled 27 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-Memory Ln at Industrial Hwy

At 0038 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a violation at the above intersection.  The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI.  He was transported to the hospital for a blood test and then to Central Booking for processing.  Charges will be filed after the blood test results are received.

Possession of marijuana-Central York Middle School, 1950 N Hills Rd

At 0830 hours the School Resource Officer handled a report for a student who was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.  The student was released to a parent and the investigation is ongoing.

Possession of marijuana-Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Rd

At 1000 hours the School Resource Officer handled a report for a student who was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.  The student was released to a parent and the investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-199 Silver Spur Dr

At 1225 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of 199 Silver Spur Dr for the report of a hit and run.  The victim advised he discovered that his vehicle had been struck while it was parked in the lot.  Suspect information was provided and the investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-K Mart, 1094 Haines Rd

At 1321 hours an Officer responded to K Mart for the report of a male who fled after committing a retail theft.  An employee advised the male took $69 worth of merchandise and fled on foot when he was confronted.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1530 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a male who fled after committing a retail theft.  An employee advised the male took $28 worth of merchandise and fled when confronted.  He ran to a gray Ford sedan and left the scene.

Hit and run-Eastern Blvd at Edgewood Rd

At 1748 hours an Officer responded to this intersection for a hit and run report.  The victim advised a Saturn sedan struck her vehicle and then fled the scene.  The vehicle was located by Hellam Twp Police and the driver was identified.
