On Sunday June 18th STPD Officers handled 24 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Hit and run-Ross Dress For Less, 2855 Concord Rd
At 1345 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Ross for the report of a hit and run. The victim advised her vehicle was struck while she was inside shopping.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1459 hours an Officer was dispatched to Walmart for the report of a retail theft where the suspect fled. An employee advised a male had taken $75 worth of merchandise and initially complied with going to the security office. The male provided false information about his identity and then fled store prior to police arrival.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1817 hours Officers responded to Walmart for the report of several juveniles who just fled the store after committing a retail theft. Employees advised two of the subjects had taken a combined total of $264 worth of merchandise. Some of the juveniles were apprehended by police nearby and they were released to guardians.
DUI crash-Concord Rd at Mt Zion Rd
At 1945 hours an Officer responded to Concord Rd for the report of a vehicle accident. One of the drivers involved was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI. He was transported to the hospital for a blood test and then to Central Booking for processing. Charges pending blood test results.
Hit and run-Concord Rd at Mt Zion Rd
At 2125 an Officer met with the victim for the report of a hit and run. The victim advised that she was rear ended by a small older red pick up truck while on Concord Rd. The other driver fled the scene going north on Mt Zion Rd.
Criminal mischief-100 block of Pointe Ridge Dr
At 2141 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Pointe Ridge Dr for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle. The victim advised someone damaged his SUV while it was parked between 1800-2100 hours.
