Daily Report for June 19th, 2017

On Monday June 19th STPD Officers handled 33 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Access device fraud-2000 block of E Philadelphia St

At 1345 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of several unauthorized uses of her bank card.  The victim stated that someone had used her bank card information to make numerous purchases over the past few months.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-K Mart, 1094 Haines Rd

At 1352 hours an Officer responded to K Mart for the report of a male who fled after committing a retail theft.  An employee advised the male took $416 worth of merchandise and fled when confronted.

Criminal mischief-Ace of Vapes, 1278 Greensprings Dr

At 1529 hours an Officer responded to Ace of Vapes for the report of damage done to the property.  An employee advised that sometime over the weekend someone had caused extensive damage to the business’ air conditioning units.

Retail theft-K Mart, 1094 Haines Rd

At 1659 hours an Officer responded to K Mart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $41 worth of merchandise without paying.  The female was cited for summary retail theft and released.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1800 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $268 worth of merchandise without paying.  The female was released with misdemeanor charges to be filed.
