On Tuesday June 20th STPD Officers handled 24 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Bank robbery-M&T Bank, 2801 E Market St

At 1010 hours Officers responded to the M&T Bank for the report of a robbery.  Employees advised a male entered the bank and passed a note demanding money and saying he had a gun.  The male obtained cash and fled the area on foot.  Several police agencies assisted in searching for the male and he was located at Central Market in York City.  The male was taken into custody without incident and the cash was recovered.  The male was identified as Nathaniel Mowry, 36, and he later confessed to committing the robbery.  Mowry was taken to Central Booking and charged with several offenses.

Retail theft-K Mart, 1094 Haines Rd

At 1351 hours an Officer responded to K Mart for the report of a retail theft where the suspect had fled.  An employee advised the male suspect had taken $120 worth of merchandise without paying and took off running when he was confronted.

Fugitive from justice/Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia-E Market St at Northern Way

At 2051 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on E Market St after witnessing a violation.  The driver of the vehicle was found to have a full extradition warrant out of Louisiana.  A small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were also located in the vehicle.  He was transported to Central Booking and charges were completed.
