On Sunday July 9th STPD Officers handled 27 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1330 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft where the suspect had fled.  An employee advised a female had taken $15 worth of merchandise and fled on foot when confronted.  She was seen getting into a vehicle in the parking lot and a tag number was obtained.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft of services-Mastercuts, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1340 hours an Officer responded to Mastercuts for a theft report.  An employee advised that a female came in for a hair appointment and left without paying.  She was identified and the investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Bon Ton, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1557 hours an Officer responded to Bon Ton for two females in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the females took a total of $212 worth of merchandise without paying.  They were identified and one of the females was transported to Central Booking where she was charged with her third retail theft offense.  The other female was released with charges to be filed for her second retail theft offense.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1715 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $6 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was transported to Central Booking for an active warrant and cited for summary retail theft.

False ID/Possession of narcotics-Rt 30 at N Sherman St

At 2321 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Rt 30.  The driver of the vehicle provided false information about her identity and was later found to be in possession of narcotics.  Charges to be filed.
