On Wednesday July 12th STPD Officers handled 32 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Hit and run-Home Depot, 2905 E Market St

At 1229 hours an Officer responded to Home Depot for a hit and run report.  The victim advised his vehicle was struck in the parking lot while he was inside shopping.

Hit and run-Memory Ln at Industrial Hwy

At 1242 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a hit and run that occurred on Memory Ln.  The victim advised he was involved in an accident and the other vehicle fled the scene without providing any information.  The suspect vehicle was last seen headed east on Concord Rd.

Theft from vehicle-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1250 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a theft that occurred at Lowes on 7/11/17.   The victim advised that tools were taken out of his vehicle while it was parked in the lot at approximately 0800 hours.

Theft/Retail theft-K Mart, 1094 Haines Rd

At 1453 hours an Officer responded to K Mart for a theft report.  A loss prevention employee advised an internal investigation revealed that an employee had been taking merchandise and cash from the business.  The employee was identified and the investigation is ongoing.

Drug violation-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1533 hours an Officer responded to the rear of Lowes to check on a suspicious person.  The subject was found to be huffing air duster and was checked by an ambulance due to his intoxication level.

Theft of a bicycle-1900 block of N Sherman St

At 2140 hours an Officer responded to a residence on N Sherman St for a theft report.  The victim advised her mountain bike had been stolen from her driveway.  The suspect left another bike behind which was in poor condition.
