On Friday July 14th STPD Officers handled 39 incidents, investigated 6 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 4 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

False ID-Banana Max, 2650 Eastern Blvd

At 0105 hours an Officer responded to Banana Max for the report of a female who attempted to use a false ID card to enter the club.  The female was identified by police and was found to have an arrest warrant.  She was transported to Central Booking for the warrant and will be charged with using a false ID.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1047 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of three subjects who fled the store after committing a retail theft.  An employee got the tag number of the vehicle they left in and said they took a total of $46 in merchandise.  The subjects were later identified and charges are pending further investigation.

Retail theft-Best Buy, 2865 Concord Rd

At 1230 hours an Officer responded to Best Buy for a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $64 in merchandise without paying.  The male was found to have 4 prior retail theft convictions so he was taken to Central Booking and charged with his 5th offense, a felony.

Simple assault-Jamison Dr

At 1211 hours Officers responded to a residence on Jamison Dr for an assault report.  The investigation revealed a female struck a male with an object during an argument.  The female was transported to the hospital for an evaluation and charges will be filed for simple assault.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1405 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $30 worth of merchandise without paying.  The female was cited for summary retail theft and released.

Escape-Youth Development Center, 3564 Heindel Rd

At 1331 hours an Officer responded to YDC for the report of an escape that occurred earlier.  A staff member advised a female resident had fled from custody earlier on this date.  The female was located and returned to YDC shortly afterwards.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Lowes, 2449 E Market St

At 1524 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $409 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was taken to Central Booking and charged with misdemeanor retail theft.

Public drunkenness-Northern Way at Industrial Hwy

At 1829 hours Officers responded to this intersection for the report of a male running into traffic and yelling at passing cars.  He was found to be intoxicated and placed under arrest.  The male had no fixed address so he was taken to Central Booking and cited.

Possession of drug paraphernalia-Rutters, 725 Arsenal Rd

At 2349 hours Officers responded to the parking lot of Rutters to check the welfare of a female in a vehicle.  The female was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and she was released to friend with charges to be filed.
