On Monday July 17th STPD Officers handled 38 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft from vehicle-4200 block of Livingstone Dr

At 0641 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Livingstone Dr for the report of a theft.   The victim advised two unlocked vehicles that were parked at the residence were entered overnight and a wallet was taken.

Theft from vehicle-4100 block of Caldwell Rd

At 0805 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Caldwell Rd for the report of a theft.  The victim advised an unlocked vehicle that was parked at the residence was entered overnight and a hand tool was taken.

Criminal mischief-100 block of Cropthorne Ln

At 0922 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Cropthorne Ln for the report of criminal mischief to a bicycle.  The victim advised 2 bicycles were taken from her porch and were later found nearby.  One of the bicycles had been damaged.

Trespassing-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1221 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a male who was in the store shopping despite being banned from the store due to a previous incident.  The male was taken into custody and arraigned on a trespassing charge due to having no fixed address.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1402 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for the report of a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $107 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male was cited for summary retail theft and released.

Hit and run-Mt Zion Rd at Whiteford Rd

At 1541 hours an Officer responded to this intersection for a hit and run report.  The victim advised her vehicle was struck by a blue sedan which then fled the scene.

Retail theft-Giant, 2415 E Market St

At 1510 hours an Officer took a report for a retail theft that occurred at Giant where the suspect fled.  An employee advised a female had taken $50 worth of merchandise without paying.  She fled the scene in a vehicle and the tag number was obtained.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1655 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier.  An employee advised a male had taken $40 worth of merchandise without paying.  He left the area in a vehicle and the tag number was obtained.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft from vehicle-500 block of Cherry Blossom Ct

At 2144 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Cherry Blossom Ct for a theft report.  The victim advised two unlocked vehicles that were parked at the residence were entered overnight.  Cash and cosmetics were taken from the vehicles.

Hit and run-Eastern Blvd at S Findlay St

At 2119 hours an Officer responded to this intersection for a hit and run report.  A witness advised a maroon Ford Explorer struck a pole and fled the scene.
