On Sunday July 23rd STPD Officers handled 34 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
DUI-Eastern Blvd at Northern Way
At 0052 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a violation at this intersection. The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI. He was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing. Charges pending BAC results.
Burglary-Designer Tans, 3939 E Market St
At 0549 hours an Officer responded to Designer Tans for a burglar alarm. The business owner responded as well and it was discovered someone had forced open a door and removed cash from the business. The investigation is ongoing.
Hit and run-1600 block of Ridgewood Rd
At 0815 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Ridgewood Rd for a hit and run report. The victim advised that sometime overnight a vehicle had struck her mailbox.
Hit and run-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 2130 hours an Officer met with the victim for a hit and run report. The victim advised her vehicle was struck while it was parked in the lot of Walmart earlier on this date.
Escape-Youth Development Center, 3564 Heindel Rd
At 2115 hours Officers responded to YDC for the report of two juvenile residents who had just fled the facility. Staff was able to capture one of the juveniles but the other was last seen running towards Rt 30. The area was searched but the juvenile was not located. Charges to be filed.
