On Friday September 8th STPD Officers handled 29 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Disorderly conduct-Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Rd
At 1200 hours the School Resource Officer took a report for a fight between two students. Charges pending further investigation.
Access device fraud-Home Depot, 2905 E Market St
At 1530 hours an Officer took a report for unauthorized use of a credit card. The victim advised his card had been used to make online purchases at Home Depot and Advance Auto Parts.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1713 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a male in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the male had taken $17 worth of merchandise without paying. He was released with charges to be filed for his second retail theft offense.
Retail theft-Sheetz, 405 Memory Ln
At 2119 hours an Officer responded to Sheetz for the report of a retail theft. An employee advised a female was acting suspiciously in the store and a later review of the video showed she had taken merchandise without paying.
Theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 2330 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a stolen phone. The victim advised the phone was stolen when he was at Walmart and a GPS tracking app showed it was now in York City. Police and the victim attempted to locate the exact location of the phone with no success.
