On Monday September 18th STPD Officers handled 25 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft from a vehicle-Home Depot, 2905 E Market St

At 0639 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Home Depot for the report of a theft.  The caller stated that over $5,000 worth of power tools had been taken out of a work vehicle while it was parked in the lot over the weekend.

Possession of heroin/drug paraphernalia-3400 block of E Market St

At 1239 hours Officers responded to a parking lot in the 3400 block of E Market St for the report of a drug overdose.  A subject was found in a vehicle suffering from an apparent overdose.  EMS administered Narcan and the subject was transported to the hospital.  Heroin and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the scene but charges will not be filed due to the overdose immunity law.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1527 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $54 worth of merchandise without paying.  The subject was released with charges to be filed.

Harassment-2700 block of Carnegie Rd

At 1607 hours an Officer responded to the 2700 block of Carnegie Rd for the report of a fight.  The victim stated he was struck by a known subject while they were in a parking lot.  The investigation is ongoing.
