On Wednesday September 20th STPD Officers handled 23 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 3 burglar alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd
At 1358 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 9/15/17. An employee advised two subjects were apprehended after taking a total of $123 worth of merchandise. The subjects were identified and charges will be filed.
Theft by deception-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1754 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a male in custody for theft. An employee advised the male had conducted a fraudulent return in the amount of $197. The male was released with charges to be filed.
Public drunkenness-2400 block of N Sherman St
At 1826 hours an Officer responded to N Sherman St with EMS for the report of a male laying in the roadway. It was found the male was intoxicated and he was transported my ambulance for treatment. A summary citation will be filed.
Simple assault-Springettsbury Park
At 1952 hours an Officer responded to Springettsbury Park for the report of an assault. The victim advised he was assaulted by a subject in the area of the basketball courts. The investigation is ongoing.
