On Wednesday October 4th STPD Officers handled 25 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Criminal mischief-RR Donnelley, 301 Butterfly Commons

At 0850 hours an Officer responded to RR Donnelley for the report of criminal mischief to a trailer.  The caller advised several tires had been flattened on a company trailer.  Possible suspect information was provided.

Theft by deception-Kay Jewelers, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1325 hours an Officer responded to Kay Jewelers for a theft report.  An employee advised a female came into the store yesterday and opened a line of credit.  The female purchased $4,400 worth of jewelry using the account and it was later found she used false information to open the account.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1344 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female took $95 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was cited and released.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1620 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for the report of a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male took $428 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male was taken to Central Booking and charged due to being an out of state resident.

Simple assault-Youth Development Center, 3564 Heindel Rd

At 2039 hours an Officer responded to YDC for the report of an assault.  Staff advised two juvenile residents assaulted another juvenile resident.  Charges were completed.
