On Tuesday October 10th STPD Officers handled 28 incidents and investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-100 block of Edgewood Rd

At 0239 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Edgewood Rd.  The driver was found to be under the influence and she was arrested for DUI.  She was transported to the hospital and refused a blood test.  The female was then taken to Central Booking and charges were completed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1038 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 10/9/17.  An employee advised a male and a female loaded $2413 worth of merchandise into shopping carts and left the store without paying.  They were confronted by an employee and fled the area.  Photos of the subjects were provided and disseminated for identification assistance.

Disorderly conduct-Five Guys, 2816 Concord Rd

At 1051 hours an Officer responded to Five Guys for the report of a disorderly subject in the restaurant.  An employee advised a female was yelling and knocking over chairs.  She left prior to police arrival.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1258 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $78 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was cited for summary retail theft and released.

Theft from a vehicle-North Hills Elementary School, 1330 N Hills Rd

At 1553 hours an Officer responded to the school for the report of a theft.  The victim advised she parked at the school and went inside to pick up her child.  When she returned she found someone had entered her unlocked vehicle and took her purse.

At 1830 hours an Officer took a report from a different victim who also had their purse stolen out of their unlocked vehicle when they were at the school at around the same time.  Someone had attempted to use this victim’s credit card at Walmart numerous times after the theft and the investigation is ongoing.
