On Wednesday October 11th STPD Officers handled 24 incidents, investigated 7 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Burglary-Irina’s Tailor Shop, 3917 E Market St

At 0809 hours an Officer responded to the above business for the report of a burglary.  The owner advised that someone forced entry into the business sometime overnight.  The investigation is ongoing.

Burglary-Something Old Something New, 3933 E Market St

At 0825 hours an Officer responded to the above business for the report of a burglary.  The owner advised that someone forced entry into the business sometime overnight.  The investigation is ongoing.

Possession of marijuana-Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Rd

At 0925 hours the School Resource Officer handled a report of a student in possession of a small amount of marijuana.  Charges to be filed.

Burglary-Wild Ginger, 2444 Eastern Blvd

At 1044 hours an Officer responded to the above business for the report of a burglary.  The owner advised that someone forced entry into the business sometime overnight.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft-Journeys, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1439 hours an Officer responded to Journeys for the report of a theft.  A manager advised a former employee had taken cash from the business.  Charges pending further investigation.

Harassment by communication-Integra, 589 Davies Dr

At 1114 hours an Officer met with the victim for a harassment report.  She advised that a known subject has been sending harassing messages after being told to stop.  The investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-600 block of Locust Grove Rd

At 1153 hours an Officer responded to Locust Grove Rd for a hit and run.  A vehicle slid off the roadway and struck a Penn Dot sign.  The vehicle left the area without providing any information.

Disorderly conduct-100 block of Ambleside Dr

At 1410 hours an Officer responded to an address on Ambleside Dr for the report of disorderly conduct.  The caller advised a neighbor was causing problems last night and this is an ongoing problem.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1653 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft where the suspect fled.  An employee advised the suspect took $44 worth of merchandise without paying and fled when confronted.  They were last seen getting into a black Hyundai sedan with MD tags.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1719 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $38 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was found to be a juvenile and was released to her parents with charges to be filed.

Criminal mischief-Eastern Blvd at Haines Rd

At 1659 and Officer met with the victim for a criminal mischief report.  The victim advised that a subject got mad at him while driving and at this intersection, the subject approached the victim’s vehicle and damaged same.  The investigation is ongoing.

Simple assault-2400 block of Pleasant View Dr

At 2252 hours Officers responded to an address on Pleasant View Dr for an assault report.  The victim advised a male had punched him several times in the face.  The suspect was on scene and taken into custody and transported to Central Booking where he was charged with simple assault.
