On Monday October 30th STPD Officers handled 40 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Burglary-Canterbury Apartments, Silver Spur Dr

At 0200 hours Officers responded to the Canterbury Apartments for a burglary.  The victim advised he woke to find someone inside his apartment.  The subject fled and it does not appear that anything was taken at this time.

Criminal mischief-Eastern Blvd at Mills St

At 0300 hours an Officer discovered that “Road Closed” signs that had been placed on Eastern Blvd had been spray painted with graffiti.

Theft-Central York High School, 601 Mundis Mill Rd

At 0800 hours the School Resource Officer took a report of a theft that occurred on 10/27/17.  The victim advised cash was taken from her bag while she was at a football game.

At 0820 hours the School Resource Officer took a report of a theft that occurred on 10/13/17.  The victim advised cash was taken from a box in the auditorium.  A second student also reported cash was taken from her book bag on this date in the auditorium.

Theft-300 block of S Findlay St

At 1152 hours an Officer took a report for stolen plants and lawn decorations.  The victim stated several items were taken from her yard between 0900-1150 hours.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1153 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for the report of a retail theft where the suspect fled.  An employee advised a male had taken $145 in merchandise without paying and fled when confronted.  The employee was able to identify the male and charges will be filed.

Criminal mischief-Mt Rose Ave at I-83

At 1413 hours an Officer responded to the construction site at this location for a criminal mischief report.  The caller advised that over the weekend someone had spray painted graffiti on a bridge support.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1613 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $39 worth of merchandise without paying.  He was cited and released.

Institutional vandalism-Stonewood Park

At 1941 hours an Officer responded to Stonewood Park for a vandalism report.  It was discovered that someone had spray painted graffiti on several pieces of equipment at the park.

Robbery-Five Guys, 2816 Concord Rd

At 1946 hours Officers responded to Five Guys for the report of a robbery that just occurred.  An employee advised a subject entered the restaurant armed with a handgun and demanded money.  The suspect fled after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.

Hit and run-Locust Grove Rd

At 2055 hours an Officer responded to Locust Grove Rd for a hit and run report.  The victim advised that someone had run off the roadway and knocked over her mailbox and a light pole.  The striking vehicle was no longer on scene.
