On Saturday November 4th STPD Officers handled 14 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Retail theft-Sheetz, 405 Memory Ln
At 0255 hours an Officer took a report of a retail theft at Sheetz. It was discovered that a male took $24 in merchandise without paying and left the store. He was later identified and charges will be filed.
Terroristic threats-BB&T Bank, 2508 Eastern Blvd
At 0937 hours an Officer took a report for threats made at the BB&T Bank. A manager advised a male got upset while in the bank and threatened employees. The male was identified and charges are pending further investigation.
Theft-1700 block of Valley Vista Dr
At 1152 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Valley Vista Dr for a theft report. The victim advised that within the past week, someone had entered their shed and removed some property.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1700 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft where the male suspect had fled. An employee advised the male had taken $499 worth of merchandise without paying and fled when confronted. The male was identified due to his involvement in a prior retail theft at Walmart and charges will be filed.
