On Friday November 17th STPD Officers handled 36 incidents, investigated 6 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI/Firearms violation-Northern Way at Eastern Blvd

At 0214 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a violation at this intersection.  The driver was found to be under the influence and a handgun was located in the vehicle.  The driver had a revoked concealed carry permit and he was taken to Central Booking where he refused to submit to a blood test.  Charges for DUI and carrying a concealed firearm without a license were completed.

Public drunkenness-Village East Apartments, 3400 Eastern Blvd

At 0252 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of the Village East Apartments for the report of a subject laying in the lane of travel.  The male was found to be highly intoxicated and he was transported to the hospital for treatment.  A citation will be filed.

Theft-Sam’s Club, 2801 E Market St

At 1323 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a theft of her purse.  The victim advised her purse was taken from her shopping cart by a male subject.  Photos of the subject will be obtained for identification assistance.

Hit and run-500 block of Locust Grove Rd

At 1629 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Locust Grove Rd for a hit and run report.  The victim advised a black SUV struck his vehicle and then fled the scene.  The striking vehicle was last seen going south on Locust Grove Rd.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1923 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $11 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was found to have 4 prior convictions for retail theft so she was taken to Central Booking and charged with her 5th offense, a felony.

Hit and run/Possession of marijuana-Long Dr at Jean Lo Way

At 2130 hours an Officer responded to this intersection for the report of a hit and run.  A vehicle had struck a fire hydrant and left the scene.  The vehicle was located at a residence nearby and a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were located inside.  The driver was identified and charges will be filed.
