Daily Report for December 2nd, 2017

On Saturday December 2nd STPD Officers handled 28 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 6 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Retail theft-Spot USA, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1805 hours an Officer responded to Spot USA for a retail theft that occurred earlier.  An employee advised a juvenile had taken $15 worth of merchandise and fled with his mother when confronted.  They left in a vehicle and a tag number was obtained.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1815 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that occurred on 12/1/17.  An employee provided video of a male taking over $2600 worth of merchandise without paying.  Photos of the suspect were provided and posted for identification assistance.

Retail theft-Bon Ton, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1816 hours an Officer responded to Bon Ton for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $174 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was released with charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1852 hours while an Officer was in the store taking a retail theft report, an employee advised a male subject in the store had concealed merchandise on his person.  The male was stopped and found to have taken $4 worth of merchandise.  He was cited and released.
