On Monday December 4th STPD Officers handled 29 incidents, investigated 9 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 4 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Hit and run-Mt Rose Ave at I-83

At 0721 hours an Officer met with the victim for a hit and run report.  The victim advised that another vehicle struck her Nissan sedan while she was traveling west on Mt Rose Ave.  The striking vehicle did not stop and no description of the vehicle was obtained.

Theft-100 block of Cropthorne Ln

At 0944 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Cropthorne Ln for a theft report.  A witness advised a known subject had removed decorations out of a neighbor’s yard.  The subject was identified and charges are pending further investigation.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1414 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a juvenile in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the juvenile had taken $10 worth of merchandise without paying.  The juvenile was cited and released to a guardian.

Theft-Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Home, 118 Pleasant Acres Rd

At 1502 hours an Officer responded to the above address for a theft report.  The victim reported cash and jewelry were taken from her room.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft-100 block of Cropthorne Ln

At 1635 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Cropthorne Ln for a theft report.  The victim reported someone had taken a holiday decoration out of her yard.  A suspect was identified and the investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1720 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft were the suspect fled.  An employee advised a known subject had taken $4 worth of merchandise without paying and fled when confronted.  Charges to be filed.

Public drunkenness-E Market St at S Royal St

At 2208 hours Officers responded to this intersection for the report of an intoxicated male laying in the sidewalk.  The male was located and found to be highly intoxicated and had a warrant for his arrest.  The male was taken to Central Booking for the warrant and charges will be filed for public drunkenness.
