Daily Report for December 11th, 2017

On Monday December 11th STPD Officers handled 22 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 5 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI/Drug offenses-Rutter’s, 1450 Mt Zion Rd

At 0053 hours an Officer responded to Rutters for the report of a subject passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in the parking lot.  The subject was found to be under the influence and in possession of marijuana, prescription medication, and drug paraphernalia.  The subject was arrested and taken to Central Booking for drug and DUI charges.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1317 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $22 worth of merchandise without paying.  He was cited and released.

Theft-Giant, 2415 E Market St

At 1415 hours an Officer took a report for the theft of a purse that occurred at Giant on 12/8/17.  The victim advised that her purse  was taken while she was at the store and the suspect had used her credit cards.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-H&M, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1752 hours an Officer responded to H&M for the report of a retail theft where the suspects fled.  An employee advised two females had taken over $500 worth of clothing and fled when confronted.
