Daily Report for December 15th, 2017

On Friday December 15th STPD Officers handled 28 incidents, investigated 4 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 4 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Retail theft-Target, 2610 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1537 hours an Officer was provided information about a retail theft that occurred earlier on this date at Target.  West Manchester Twp Police had three subjects in custody for a retail theft that occurred at the Target in their jurisdiction and it was discovered that the same three subjects had taken $1,999 worth of merchandise from the Target on Pleasant Valley Rd.  Information was gathered on the subjects and charges will be filed.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1537 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $44 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was cited and released.

Retail theft-Kohls, 2600 Pleasant Valley Rd

At 1525 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for two females in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the females had taken a combined total of $400 worth of merchandise without paying.  The females were released with charges to be filed.

Hit and run-3000 block of Round Hill Rd

At 1646 hours an Officer responded to Round Hill Rd for a hit and run report.  The caller advised a light pole was struck by an unknown vehicle which left the scene.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1850 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier on this date.  An employee advised three subjects worked together to steal $552 worth of merchandise.  Photos of the subjects were provided and disseminated for identification assistance.

Public drunkenness-Rutters, 160 N Hills Rd

At 1944 hours an Officer responded to Rutters for the report of an intoxicated male drinking beer inside the store who was refusing to leave.  The male was taken into custody, cited, and taken to Central Booking due to having no fixed address.
