On Saturday December 16th STPD Officers handled 29 incidents and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

DUI-E Market St at Memory Ln

At 0136 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on E Market St and found the driver was under the influence.  The driver was arrested for DUI and transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges are pending blood test results.

Theft/Criminal mischief-200 block of S Kershaw St

At 0913 hours an Officer responded to a residence on S Kershaw St for the report of criminal mischief to a vehicle.  The victim advised that she is an in-home healthcare worker and while her vehicle was parked at a residence someone had stolen the license plate and let the air out of her tires.   The license plate was entered into NCIC as stolen.

Stolen vehicle-100 block of Crown Pointe Dr

At 1036 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Crown Pointe Dr for a stolen vehicle report.  The victim advised that someone had stolen her Hyundai Sonata overnight.  She believes the keys may have been left inside the vehicle.  The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.

Access device fraud-2000 block of Industrial Hwy

At 1124 hours an Officer took a report for access device fraud where the victim was a business on Industrial Hwy.  The owners advised that someone had used a business credit card for unauthorized purchases.  The investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-Mt Zion Rd at Rt 30

At 1511 hours an Officer took a report for a hit and run that occurred on Mt Zion Rd.  The victim obtained the license plate number of the striking vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-2800 block of Concord Rd

At 1600 hours an Officer met with the victim for a hit and run report.  She advised a vehicle fled the area after striking her vehicle in a parking lot.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1620 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two females who were causing problems after employees confronted them about committing a retail theft.  It was discovered that they took a total of $26 worth of merchandise without paying.  They were released with charges to be filed.
