On Tuesday January 9th STPD Officers handled 39 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Theft-400 block of Hunting Park Ln
At 1044 hours an Officer met with the victim for the report of a theft. The victim advised that a package had been stolen off her porch on 1/4/18.
Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St
At 1705 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft in progress. An employee advised three females were in the store and were about to leave with a large amount of merchandise that they did not purchase. The females were stopped as they exited and it was found they had taken $2,328 worth of merchandise. Two of the females were adults and were taken to Central Booking and charged with felony retail theft. The third female was a juvenile and she was released with charges to be filed.
