Daily Report for February 6th, 2018

On Tuesday February 6th STPD Officers handled 39 incidents, investigated 1 motor vehicle accident, and responded to 3 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Trespassing-Turkey Hill, 3690 E Market St

At 0631 hours an Officer responded to Turkey Hill for the report of two subjects who were refusing to leave the property.  The subjects left upon police arrival but returned two hours later.  Charges pending further investigation.

Hit and run-500 block of Gatehouse Ln West

At 0916 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Gatehouse Ln West for the report of a hit and run.  The victim advised that sometime overnight his vehicle was struck when it was parked along the curb at his home.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1020 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for two subjects in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised they had taken $5 worth of merchandise without paying.  The employee advised one of the subjects had also committed a retail theft at the store on 2/5/18.  They were released with charges to be filed.

Fraud-4000 block of Stone Run Dr

At 1623 hours the victims responded to STPD to report fraudulent activity with their credit cards.  They advised someone had gained access to their account information and was altering their information.

Retail theft/Escape-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 1917 hours an Officer responded to Boscovs for three subjects in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the subjects had taken a total of $128 in merchandise without paying.  Two of the subjects were adults and they were released on scene with charges to be filed.  The third subject was a juvenile and he was transported to the station to be released to a parent.  This subject fled from police while at the station but was apprehended after a brief foot chase.  He was later released to a parent with charges to be filed.

Theft-Parma Pizza, 1041 Haines Rd

At 2227 hours an Officer responded to Parma Pizza for a theft report.  An employee advised a bank bag was taken from the business during the day.  The investigation is ongoing.
