On Tuesday February 13th STPD Officers handled 25 incidents and investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft-1700 block of Whiteford Rd

At 0815 hours an Officer took a report for a theft that occurred on Whiteford Rd.  The victim advised two PA registration plates were stolen off trailers parked at the business.

Burglary-Guadalajara, 2600 E Market St

At 0853 hours an Officer responded to Guadalajara for the report of a burglary that was just discovered.  An employee advised that the business had been broken into overnight and the cash register was taken.  The suspect was identified through video surveillance and found to already be in custody for another burglary that occurred in Penn Township.

Burglary-Fiesta Mexico, 2820 E Market St

At 0950 hours an Officer responded to Guadalajara for the report of a burglary that was just discovered.  An employee advised that the business had been broken into overnight and the cash register was taken.  The suspect was identified through video surveillance and found to already be in custody for another burglary that occurred in Penn Township.

Hit and run-100 block of Northern Way

At 1223 hours an Officer met with the victim for a hit and run report.  The victim advised that he was involved in an accident with a large SUV and the SUV left the area without stopping to provide information.

Retail theft-Home Depot, 2905 E Market St

At 1229 hours an Officer responded to Home Depot for a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $135 in merchandise without paying.  The male was found to have several arrest warrants and two prior convictions for retail theft.  He was transported to Central Booking and charges were completed.

Disorderly conduct-2400 block of Mt Rose Ave

At 1547 hours Officers responded to the 2400 block of Mt Rose Ave for the report of students fighting on a school van.  Charges pending further investigation.

Hit and run-Dollar General, 5 Cinema Dr

At 1642 hours an Officer responded to Dollar General for a hit and run report.  The victim stated that a maroon SUV backed into his vehicle and left the area without stopping.

Retail theft/Robbery-Boscovs, 2899 Whiteford Rd

At 2013 hours Officers responded to Boscovs for the report of a retail theft where a male suspect had assaulted an employee.  The employee advised the male had taken $377 worth of merchandise without paying and when the employee tried to stop the male, the male began assaulting him.  The male got into a Buick sedan that was driven by a female and left the area.  Photos of the male were obtained and disseminated for identification assistance.
