Daily Report for February 15th, 2018

On Thursday February 15th STPD Officers handled 34 incidents, investigated 3 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 burglar alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Vehicle theft-600 block of Chronister St

At 1437 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Chronister St for the report of a stolen vehicle.  The victim advised her Dodge truck was taken between 0200-0530 hours while it was parked in front of the home.  The truck was unlocked and the keys were left inside.  The truck was entered into NCIC as stolen.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1453 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier.  An employee advised a male and a female had taken $365 worth of merchandise without paying.  The subjects were later identified and charges will be filed.

Theft from a vehicle-1700 block of Argyle Dr

At 1547 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Argyle Dr for a theft report.  The victim stated $500 worth of electronics were taken out of his unlocked vehicle sometime overnight.

Theft-2550 Kingston Rd

At 1648 hours an Officer responded to a business on Kingston Rd for a theft report.  The victim stated that her wallet was stolen between 1550-1635 hours.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1745 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of a retail theft that just occurred.  An employee advised a young male took $64 worth of merchandise without paying.  The male fled when confronted.

DUI crash-Rt 30 at Eleventh Ave

At 2339 hours Officers responded to Rt 30 for the report of a vehicle accident.  One of the operators was found to be intoxicated and he was arrested for DUI.  He was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and a blood test.  Charges pending blood test results.
