On Saturday February 17th STPD Officers handled 20 incidents and investigated 6 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Robbery-Laser Alleys, 3905 E Market St

At 0020 hours Officers responded to Laser Alleys for the report of a fight.  Investigation revealed one subject was assaulted and the suspects took the victim’s cash.  The investigation is ongoing.

DUI-2500 block of Eastern Blvd

At 0159 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Eastern Blvd.  The driver was found to be under the influence and she was arrested.  She was taken to Central Booking for a blood test and processing.  Charges were completed due to this being her second DUI offense.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1133 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a male in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the male had taken $88 worth of merchandise without paying.  He was found to have a prior conviction for retail theft and was released with misdemeanor charges to be filed.

Theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1350 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a theft report.  A loss prevention employee advised she conducted an internal investigation and found another employee had taken cash from a register.  The employee was identified and charges will be filed.

Theft-Weis Markets, 2400 E Market St

At 1647 hours an Officer responded to Weis Markets for the report of a theft.  The victim advised her wallet had been stolen and she discovered her credit cards had been used at several locations.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, 2801 E Market St

At 1704 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a retail theft in progress.  An employee advised two subjects were concealing merchandise.  The subjects were stopped as they exited and it was found they had taken $159 worth of merchandise.  They were both juveniles and released to a guardian with charges to be filed.
