On Sunday February 18th STPD Officers handled 22 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 burglar alarm. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
DUI-Rt 30 at Eden Rd
At 0049 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Rt 30. The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI. He was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing. Charges pending blood test results.
DUI-400 block of Memory Ln
At 0159 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Memory Ln. The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI. He was transported to Central Booking for a blood test and processing. Charges pending blood test results.
DUI-Rt 30 at Loucks Mill Rd
At 0220 hours an Officer conducted a traffic stop on Rt 30. The driver of the vehicle was found to be under the influence and he was arrested for DUI. He was transported to Central Booking where he refused to submit to a blood test. Charges were completed for his first offense of DUI.
Assault-Giant, 2415 E Market St
At 0927 hours Officers responded to Giant for the report of a male who assaulted a female employee. Several bystanders were holding the male down and he was taken into custody. The male struggled with police and he was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. The investigation is ongoing.
