On Friday September 7th STPD Officers handled 23 incidents and investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Retail theft-Walmart, E Market St

At 1323 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $22 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was released with charges to be filed.

Hit and run-Walmart, E Market St

At 1324 hours an Officer responded to the parking lot of Walmart where the victim reported someone struck her vehicle and left the scene without providing any information.  A witness obtained the tag number of the striking vehicle and the driver was identified.

Access device fraud-Schoolhouse Ln

At 1600 hours an Officer met with the victim who reported that on 9/6/18 someone used her credit card information to make several purchases.  The transactions were made in several states and it is unknown how the suspect obtained the credit card information.

Retail theft-Target, Pleasant Valley Rd

At 2030 hours an Officer responded to Target for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $17 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was cited and released.
