STPD Citizen Police Academy-October 23rd, 2018

The next Springettsbury Police Department is scheduled to begin on October 23rd.  The Citizen Police Academy classes take place one night a week for 10 weeks. Each class last 2.5 hours and are generally held at our station on a weekday evening. The classes cover a wide range of law enforcement related topics including crime scene investigation, accident reconstructions, Police radio dispatch, and investigative and patrol tactics. Each class is conducted by an expert in the individual class topic.  Class size is limited to 20 persons and is filled on a first come first served basis. The final class of the academy will consist of a graduation ceremony with the issuance of a “Achievement Award” for each participant from the Chief of Police.
