On Friday September 28th STPD Officers handled 43 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 9 alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Retail theft-Walmart, E Market St
At 1555 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for the report of two females that had taken $65 worth of merchandise without paying. One of the females stopped when confronted and the other left the area. Both females were identified and charges will be filed.
Retail theft-Walmart, E Market St
At 1700 hours while on scene for the previous retail theft a Walmart employee advised of another retail theft in progress. A female was stopped as she exited the store without paying for $69 worth of merchandise. She was found to have 3 prior retail theft convictions so she was taken to Central Booking and charged with her 4th offense, a felony.
Retail theft-Giant, E Market St
At 2039 hours an Officer responded to Giant for the report of a retail theft that just occurred. An employee advised a male took $510 worth of merchandise and fled when confronted.
Hit and run-Industrial Hwy at Memory Ln
At 2057 hours an Officer met with the victim for a hit and run report. The victim advised he was riding a bicycle when he was struck by a silver Honda Accord which was last seen headed west on Industrial Hwy.
