On Thursday October 11th STPD Officers handled 33 incidents, investigated 8 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 1 alarm. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Theft from vehicle-2500 block of Mt Zion Rd
At 0845 hours an Officer met with the victim who reported $400 worth of property was taken from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked at his residence overnight.
Retail theft/Possession of marijuana-Walmart, E Market St
At 0850 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft. An employee advised the female had taken $55 worth of merchandise without paying. She was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. She was released with charges to be filed.
Theft from vehicle-2000 block of Glen Hollow Rd
At 0915 hours an Officer met with the victim who reported $3,000 worth of property was taken from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked at this residence overnight.
Theft from vehicle-Manor Care, Kingston Ct
At 1119 hours an Officer met with the victim who reported someone broke out a window on her vehicle and took her purse. The purse was recovered nearby and it appears only some change was taken.
Retail theft-Kohls, Pleasant Valley Rd
At 1232 hours an Officer responded to Kohls for a retail theft that just occurred. An employee advised a male and a female had taken $119 worth of merchandise without paying. The female cooperated and remained on scene but the male fled. The female was found to have 2 prior retail theft convictions and she was taken to Central Booking and charged with her 3rd offense, a felony. The male was identified and charges will be filed.
