On Wednesday October 17th STPD Officers handled 23 incidents and responded to 1 alarm.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Theft-Pleasant Acres Nursing and Rehabilitation Home, Pleasant Acres Rd

At 0730 hours an Officer met with the victim who reported that he recently discovered a tablet computer was taken from his room.

Retail theft-Ollies, Haines Rd

At 1217 hours an Officer responded to Ollies for the report of a retail theft that just occurred.  An employee advised a male took $141 worth of merchandise without paying and left the area in a Toyota sedan.  Photos of the male were posted for identification assistance.

Possession of marijuana-Central York High School, Mundis Mill Rd

At 1320 hours the School Resource Officer took a report for a student that was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.  The student was released to a parent with charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Boscovs, Whiteford Rd

At 1347 hours an Officer responded to Boscovs for the report of a retail theft where the suspects fled.  An employee advised two females took $442 worth of merchandise without paying and fled in a vehicle.  The tag number was obtained and the investigation is ongoing.

Hit and run-Walmart, E Market St

At 1537 hours an Officer met with the victim who reported someone struck her vehicle while it was parked in the lot on 10/16.

Criminal mischief-St Joseph’s Elementary, Kingston Rd

At 1618 hours an Officer responded to St Joseph’s for the report of a juvenile who had damaged a school bus.  The juvenile was released to a parent and charges will be filed.

Simple assault-Youth Development Center, Heindel Rd

At 1714 hours an Officer responded to YDC for the report of a resident who was assaulted by another resident.  Charges to be filed.

Theft by deception-Memory Ln Extended

At 1815 hours an Officer met with the victim who reported she was scammed after receiving a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS demanding payment for back taxes.

Theft-Walmart, E Market St

At 1825 hours an Officer met with the victim who advised someone took her cash while she was in the self-checkout area.  The investigation is ongoing.
