On Thursday October 18th STPD Officers handled 33 incidents, investigated 7 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 5 alarms.  Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:

Possession of drugs/paraphernalia-Haines Rd

At 0025 hours an Officer located an occupied vehicle on Haines Rd and found the driver was in possession of assorted drug items to include marijuana and suspected LSD.  The driver was released with charges to be filed.

Hit and run-Courtyard by Marriott, Concord Rd

At 0840 hours an Officer met with the victim who reported her vehicle was damaged while it was parked in the lot.  Contact was made with the person who caused the damage and information was exchanged.

Retail theft-Walmart, E Market St

At 1334 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft.  An employee advised the female had taken $198 worth of merchandise without paying.  She was released with charges to be filed.

Retail theft-Lowes, E Market St

At 1433 hours an Officer responded to Lowes for the report of a retail theft that occurred earlier on this date.  An employee advised a male had taken $399 worth of merchandise without paying.  The investigation is ongoing.

Retail theft-Walmart, E Market St

At 1956 hours an Officer took a report about a retail theft that occurred on 10/17.  The caller reported a theft of $15 worth of merchandise and provided suspect information.  The investigation is ongoing.

Theft by deception-Target, Pleasant Valley Rd

At 2027 hours an Officer responded to Target for a theft report.  An employee advised a male came into the store and during a transaction, he was able to distract the cashier and obtain over $1000 worth of gift cards without paying.

Possession of drug paraphernalia-Deininger Rd

At 2124 hours an Officer responded to a residence on Deininger Rd for a report of a subject in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Some drug items were located and charges will be filed.
