On Thursday October 25th STPD Officers handled 27 incidents, investigated 2 motor vehicle accidents, and responded to 2 alarms. Of those incidents the following crimes were reported:
Retail theft-Walmart, E Market St
At 0819 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a female in custody for retail theft. Prior to police arrival the female fled the office and was last seen leaving the parking lot in a black Hyundai sedan. The female had provided her ID to the Walmart employee prior to fleeing so she was identified and charges will be filed.
Disorderly conduct-Walmart, E Market St
At 1021 hours an Officer responded to Walmart for a male who was to be causing a disturbance. The male was identified and charges will be filed.
Counterfeit currency-Fine Wine and Good Spirits, E Market St
At 1215 hours an Officer responded to the store for the report of a customer who attempted to pay for a purchase with money that was found to be counterfeit.
